Parkway PTA News
Our weekly reminders:
1) Don’t forget to send in your cake sale order’s they are delicious!!
2) Our Candy/Gift Wrap order will be handed out this Thursday November 10th from 3:30pm-530pm in the cafetorium. Please use the back entrance of the school for pick up.
3) Our Halloween Collection was a HUGE success!! We donated 312 pounds of candy to our troops over sees and Child Saves Lives. Good Work Parkway!! A special thank you to Melissa Zeidman who single handedly delivered the candy. She’s a strong PTA mama!!
4) Don’t forget that when you see a sale on soap, tissues, hand sanitizer, or paper towels to please send it in. So far we were able to give out quite a bit to our very appreciative teachers but they need more!
5) Congratulations to our Parkway Founder’s Day recipients : Mrs. Guido and Beverly Sender! Way to Go!!
6) There is a mandatory blood drive meeting tomorrow for ALL class parents. Please make sure if you are a class parent that you attend a Am or PM meeting.
7) We are also hosting a coat drive next month…please look for future flyers….we are so proud to help out at PARKWAY
8) This week the 3rd and 4th graders will be getting state wide “pre” tested. This test DOES NOT count towards grades at all!! It merely is giving the teachers and district an opportunity to measure the growth of the students over time. PTA is just keeping parents informed.
9) May 24th is the districts chosen day for the optional snow day if all snow days are not used by then.
10) Ryan Ruff our assistant superintendent will be joining us at our next PTA meeting to discuss the effects that the tax cap will have on our school ie: class size, possible half day kindergarten , your home taxes and how they will be effected and more.
11) There is no school November 8 & 11
